Best Short Film (Live Action): Terry George and Oorlagh George for 'The Shore'.
Best Original Screenplay: Woody Allen for 'Midnight in Paris'. The Academy contrulated Woody Allen and accepted the award on behalf of him.
Best Adapted Screenplay: Alexander Payne, Nat and Paxton for 'The Decendants'.
Best Original Song: Bret McKenzie for 'Man or Muppet'.
Best Original Score: Winning for the first time Ludovic Bruce for 'The Artist'.
Best Supporting Actor: Christopher Plummer for his role in the 'Beginnings'.
Best Visual Effects: The Oscar went to Rob Legato, Joss Williams, Ben Grossmann and Alex Henning for 'Hugo'.
Best Animated feature film: 'Rango', Gore Verbinski.
Best Documentary: 'Undefeated'. The award was received by TJ Martin, Dan Lindsay and Rich Middlemas.
Best Sound Mixing: Tom Fleischman and John Midgley for 'Hugo'.
Best Sound Editing: Philip Stockton and Eugene Gearty for 'Hugo'.
Best Film Editing: Kirk Baxter and Angus Wall for 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo'.
Best Supporting Actress: Octavia Spencer for 'The Help'. She got a standing ovation. Octavia cried and thanked Academy, her family, 'HELP' family. "I share this award with everyone", she said.
Best Foreign Language Film: Asghar Farhadi for an Iranian film 'A Separation'.
Best Makeup: Mark Coulier and J. Roy Helland for 'The Iron Lady'.
Best Costume Design: Mark Bridges for ‘The Artist’.
Art Direction: Dante Ferretti (Production Design); Francesca Lo Schiavo (Set Decoration) for ‘Hugo’. The husband wife thank Martin Scorsese and dedicate award to Italy.
Cinematography: Robert Richardson for 'Hugo'. "Martin you are genius, I am glad you put cinematography first!", said Robert.
