2 Anticipated Vacancies for the next one year= 02 (UR-02)

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
a) As on first of March, 2013, a candidate must be a holder of degree in 
Law as recognized by the Bar Council of India.  
b) A candidate must be a citizen of India.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION:
The knowledge of customs, manners and dialects 
of Himachal Pradesh and suitability for appointment in the peculiar 
conditions prevailing in the State of Himachal Pradesh.
  
AGE LIMIT For Himachal Pradesh Judicial  Service Competitive Exam:
A candidate must have attained the age of 22 years but must not be 
more than 30 years of age as on the last date prescribed for receipt of 
applications in the Commission’s Office i.e. 1st March, 2013.


Examination FEE for Himachal Pradesh Judicial  Service Competitive Exam
General / Unreserved category Rs.250/-.
SC/ST/OPRC Rs.63/-.
Candidates  are required to pay a  fee of Rs.250/- for General Category and Rs.63/-
for S.C. / S.T. / OBC of H.P. by cash at any branch of  Punjab National Bank,
through a e-challan generated through the above website.   



SCHEME OF EXAMINATION:   

1. Preliminary Examination:
The preliminary examination shall be an objective type examination consisting of 
the following three papers of 100 Marks each:-

  1.  Civil Law-I
  2.  Civil Law-II
  3.  Criminal Law

Each paper shall be of one-hour duration and the examination in all the three papers shall be held on the same day. The syllabus for the preliminary examination shall be the same as provided for Paper-I to III for the Main examination. The preliminary examination will be held on  12-05-2013.  The result of preliminary examination will be declared on  15-06-2013 and shall be published and also displayed on official website of the Commission. No individual intimation shall be given to the candidates.


Main (Narrative) Examination:
Main Examination will be consisting of 05 papers as follows:-

  1. PAPER SUBJECT MARKS
  2. PAPER-I Civil Law-I 200 Marks
  3. PAPER-II Civil Law-II 200 Marks
  4. PAPER_III Criminal Law 200 Marks
  5. PAPER-IV English Composition 200 Marks
  6. PAPER-V Language (Hindi) 100 Marks

Main Written (narrative) examination shall be held w.e.f.   15th to 18th   July, 2013. The date sheet will be put on the website of the Commission. No individual intimation will be given.
